Emma Coxon - Freelance PA & Project Manager

I set up Assistant Guru with a genuine desire to help professionals develop their business, by getting ideas and projects implemented, as well as managing their marketing and administrative workload. Allowing them to enjoy a better work/life balance, and gain the space and time to focus on what’s important to them and their company.

Over the past 20 years I have worked as both a PA, and Account Manager, in London-based advertising companies, managing clients including Boeing, Egyptian Tourist Board, Vertu and Microsoft.  After moving to Bristol in 2006, I began work as an Account Manager for Sky at digital marketing agency Rockpool Digital, and subsequently as International Account Manager for Pukka Herbs.  I now live in beautiful rural Wiltshire, where I run my business.  I have gained a great deal of experience working on a wide variety of projects, with clients worldwide – which have included working alongside design and advertising agencies.

I have also worked in the publishing industry for the past six years as a writer and editor, working as Psychologies magazine's Food & Living Editor and Social Media Assistant.  As well as writing, this role included working with publishing companies on a regular basis and liaising with experts and PR agencies to commission them for Facebook Live interviews for the magazine's Editor-in-Chief.  I have also worked with the Editor of Top Santé and Platinum magazines which has included some features writing, liaising with PR agencies to organise competitions in the magazine, plus managing the annual Top Santé skin and haircare awards.

Having been involved in sales and marketing for many years, I am dedicated to meeting the needs of my clients, and going that one step further to provide the best possible support, with a creative edge. I love getting to know their business and what is important to them, in order to deliver exactly what they need.

Experience

I have always been highly organised, and enjoyed using my skills to help others.  During my time as an Account Manager, I was used to juggling the demands of a number of high profile clients and meeting deadlines.  This included managing multi-million pound advertising campaigns worldwide, and ensuring everything was delivered on time.  This is why I love the work that I do – being as organised as I am, I really enjoy using the skills and experience I have, to ease the pressure of others.

I am a creatively minded person, with a love of photography, art and illustration.  I live in a village full of creative people, so am constantly surrounded by interesting people and artistic talent.  I use this creativity to inspire me in my work, and having had experience of working in a design agency in London, plus planning advertising campaigns for large clients…I enjoy collaborating with clients on new ideas for projects.   I also have an eye for fresh and professional design – so can recommend and source experts to help with this, as appropriate.

It is my passion for creativity that helps drive me in my business.  Not only do I appreciate that we are all individuals, with unique principles and needs, I love the work you do! It is my strong commitment to clients that has always been at the forefront of everything I do, no matter how large or small the project.
